Biography

It wasn’t until a trip to Europe after high school when my interest in art became my true passion. I found that passion behind the viewfinder of a camera where the world jumped through the lens and became alive. Since then I knew I wanted to capture all of the beautiful and the boring, everyday moments of life.  I found true beauty in the scenery around me and knew that I wanted some way to remember those points in time.  Also, I find that the most uninteresting object, event, or day can have a wonderful essence about it, and I thoroughly enjoy taking the mundane and making it sacred. There is something quite fascinating about taking the mundane aspects of life, photographing it, and making it my own little masterpiece. Being behind the lens of a camera I find that I am building strength and confidence in myself and I believe that is the biggest part about being an artist.  Each photo tells a story and is a reflection of my faith. I long to cohere the relationship between my beliefs, man, and nature and find the grandeur of the world around every corner. My ultimate goal as a photographer is to take the knowledge, influences, love and talent that I have been blessed with and share them with the world through capturing those moments in life that mean the most.
